ECE Curriculum Committee Meeting Minutes for October 2, 2008

1. The Minutes of the September 22, 2008 meeting were approved.
2. The ECE 4XX course proposal by Wen-Mei Hwu was approved, subject to changes, corrections, and completion of the documentation to be forwarded to the College. Donna Brown volunteered to review the changes on behalf of the Curriculum Committee, and final approval was delegated to her.
3. The ECE 498 proposal by Wen-Mei Hwu to offer the above course in the Spring 2009 semester pending College approval of the permanent course was approved, subject to minor corrections in the documentation.
4. The ECE 498 proposal for the Spring 2009 semester by Steve Lumetta was approved, subject to corrections and clarifications in the course documentation. Donna Brown agreed to review the changes on behalf of the Curriculum Committee, and final approval was delegated to her.
5. The ECE 398 proposal for the Spring 2009 semester by K.-Y. Cheng was approved by the Curriculum Committee, with minor corrections to the documentation.
6. The ECE 398 proposal for the Spring 2009 semester by Kent Choquette was approved by the Curriculum Committee, with minor corrections to the documentation.
7. On behalf of the Committee, the Chair approved Michael Oelze's ECE 498 proposal for the Spring 2009 semester, which is to offer the already-approved ECE 472 as it awaits College approval.
8. The Committee adjourned at 3:54 PM.
